Can't redeem Netflix gift card

If you entered the code correctly but still see this message, it could mean that your card has not been activated yet by the merchant you purchased the gift card from. Please wait 24 hours before trying to redeem your gift card again. If you continue to see this error, please contact us.

  1. Go to netflix.com/clearcookies to clear the Netflix cookie; this will sign you out of your account.

  2. Go to netflix.com/redeem and try to redeem your gift card again.

If you still see this message, it could mean that your card has not been activated yet by the merchant. Please wait 24 hours before trying to redeem your gift card again. If you continue to see this error, please contact us.

If you see a message that the code you entered cannot be used with your account, it typically means that you're trying to redeem a gift card on an account that is billed through Apple, or linked to a Netflix-included package.

  • If you currently pay through Apple and want to use a Netflix gift card, you will need to cancel your Netflix account, wait until it closes, then restart it with your gift card.

  • If your account is linked to a Netflix-included package, you can save the gift card and use it when your account is no longer linked to a package, or you can redeem it on a different Netflix account.

If you see a message that the gift code you entered doesn't match the country, it typically means that the gift card’s currency doesn't match your billing currency. The currency of the gift card must match your billing currency to redeem it successfully.
